Teaching yoga to me is all about holding space; space for healing, for breathing, for getting to know ourselves better. I love teaching yoga because I get an opportunity to be a guide throughout this transformational practice. I get to watch what happens when we slow down, study our bodies and minds, and observe the whole of who we really are.
(2) What are you looking forward to sharing during the TT Intensive?
I’ve had the privilege of being in an 800-hour Yoga Therapy training over the last two years. I’m looking forward to sharing some of what I’ve been learning about restorative yoga, implementing props in an asana practice, the chakra system, and the anatomy of the subtle body. As a yoga therapist, I am inspired everyday by the healing power of yoga and am grateful to share some of my experience with you.
(3) What about your own TT experience surprised you?
I’m always surprised by how much surfaces during a training. Whether it be a breakthrough in a particular asana, dealing with an old habit, or realizing the stories I’ve told myself are no longer true, Svadhyaya (self-observation) always leads to liberation. My own teacher training experiences have revealed to me the freedom the occurs when practicing being a witness and offering love and compassion to all beings everywhere.Click for Information on Yoga Teacher Training
